Seasonal Drainage and Detoxification Program

The Seasonal Drainage and Detoxification program consists of a number of drainage and detoxification methods that are essential this day and age because pollutants are so prevalent in our environment, as well as stored in our bodies. Hence, there is a pressing need to get the toxins out of your body on a seasonal basis, at least in the spring and fall.

Body Basics

Balancing the Body with Drainage and Detoxification

You are what you eat, absorb, and assimilate. It is equally true that you are what you do not eliminate. If undigested food and waste products are not eliminated they accumulate, putrefy, feed unfriendly bacteria, and become reabsorbed from the colon.

Every tissue and organ of the body will feel the effects of these toxic substances. This is one of the major underlying causes of the majority of today's diseases and ill health.

The drainage and detoxification methods are some of the most important steps you can take in balancing your body, preventing disease, and creating health. They maintain your natural bodily functions and sow healthy habits. As a result, you will reap multiple benefits. Because the methods work to clean the mess out, they allow you to clearly see what is really going on in your body.

"Every disease is caused by one or more nutritional deficiencies and/or by one or more cellular toxicities from the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. The toxins need to come out." ….. by Mr. Prevention

Program Description

The Seasonal Drainage and Detoxification Program deals with protocols and methods that impart a deeper drainage and detoxification of our internal detoxification system, which includes the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and lymphatics. The complete program consists of four appointments with the practitioner.

What is Drainage?  Seasonal Drainage of the Body Tissues

Drainage from Outside the Cells to Outside of the Body: Drainage of tissues from the outside of cells and within the interstitial spaces between tissues to the outside of the body via the elimination system routes. Drainage targets the connective tissue including GAGs, chondroitin sulphate, blood, adipose, and lymphatic tissue, as well as the tissue between the tissues, which are prime storage areas for toxins.

Toxins get stored in connective tissue throughout the body. The toxins and glucosamine and glycogans bond together in these storage places. Since toxins are stored in the in-between spaces a lot of inflammation is created that damages synovial membranes, mucosal membranes, and other cell membranes. In addition, there is weight gain, which serves as a protection for the toxins!

This section deals with drainage of the following:

  1. Kidneys, drainage only
  2. Liver, drainage only
  3. Blood,
  4. Lymphatics, and
  5. Connective tissue.

When the Body is out of Balance: In terms of the immune system, the drainage function is disrupted because the drainage system is immune system regulated.

Drainage Defined: Some practitioners define drainage as a gentle cleansing of the blood circulation and digestive system first, which prevents the discomfort many people experience when trying to detox successfully. By discharging or draining toxins from the blood and colon, initially as a first step, you prevent re-absorption through the digestive system. In this way, you are making room for the body's natural processes of detoxification to occur successfully during subsequent detoxification steps.

What is Detoxification? Seasonal Detox of the Detoxification System

Detoxification from Inside the Detox Organs to Outside of the Cells: Here, we have a detoxification process taking place from the inside to the outside of cells with subsequent elimination. Detoxification concerns the processing of toxins inside the cells where it makes the toxin a non-toxin, which can be moved out of the body. It concerns mainly the kidneys and liver, and some mucous membranes, and in the brain. Here, detoxification serves to detox the following organs:

  • Kidneys: Detoxification only here, as needed
  • Liver: Cleansing and detoxification both here, as needed
  • Gall Bladder: Detoxification only here, an needed

When the Body is out of Balance: In terms of the endocrine system, the detoxification function is disrupted because the detoxification system is regulated by the endocrine system. So, hormones and metabolism biochemistry are in control here. Hormones attach to receptors on the cell membranes, so everything inside the cell is about metabolism and metabolism is regulated by the endocrine system.

Detoxification Defined: This word refers to the process of removing toxins from inside the detoxification organs to outside of the cells. The program needs to provide support for the body's innate detoxification pathways, namely, the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and lymphatics. However, it can also refer to the Phase I and Phase II detoxification processes that take place inside the liver because the liver is your main organ of detoxification.

Program Benefits

With the help of the seasonal drainage and detoxification program, you will:

  1. Get rid of your existing, lingering toxic load, each spring and fall,
  2. Learn how to keep both water-soluble and fat-soluble toxins out of your body in the future,
  3. Build health in the detoxification system including the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and lymphatic system,
  4. Know how to drain, detoxify, and expel toxins at home by way of a maintenance program in the spring and fall, and
  5. Understand what the natural, whole foods way and regular cleansing can do for you on a weekly basis.

Program Prerequisites

1. Those with one or more current degenerative diseases will not be able to enter into the program. This list includes lung disorders, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. People with minor conditions and ailments will be allowed in the program, at the discretion of the practitioner.

2. All participants should have previously gone through at least one Regular Cleansing Program for up to 3 months or longer, depending on the individual, and the month of starting the cleansing program, before beginning this more advanced drainage and detoxification program. This is because we need the primary channels of elimination clean, clear, and running efficiently before doing a drainage of the tissues and a detoxification of the liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system. All exit channels or elimination routes need to be freely open and available for quick toxin release from the liver, the lymph, as well as from the interstitial spaces between tissues in the blood, adipose, subcutaneous, and mucosal regions.

3. Ideally, clients should be in a good physical and mental condition with a body that is functioning normally with balanced nervous and endocrine systems, as well as a strong immune system. However, this is an ideal situation. Normally, you may have issues including digestion and/or elimination problems along with a sluggish or toxic liver, impaired detoxification in the liver and kidneys, and/or a sluggish lymphatic system.

4. In addition, the practitioner must be aware of the roll of the immune and endocrine systems in poor drainage and detoxification, respectively. If these systems are out of balance, not functioning properly, or are weak in any way, they will have a direct bearing on and adversely affect drainage and detoxification efforts.

Beginners take Note

For those who are new to drainage and detoxification, a daily and/or weekly regular cleansing program is a good way to help prepare the body ahead of time for a deeper, seasonal drainage and detoxification program.

If your organs of elimination, the colon, kidneys, lungs, and skin are not working properly, toxins will only circulate in the body. Drainage and detoxification are then oftentimes more complicated than expected. If the exit channels are clean and clear, and the elimination system is functioning properly, a seasonal drainage and detoxification is much easier and very effective.

In light of the above, it is recommended that all beginners who are new to drainage and detoxification, first go through a 3-month Regular Cleanse, before engaging in this program.

Cleansing Defined: Step 1: First Up for Most Folks: For some, cleansing usually refers to the process of clearing out the four primary exit channels of elimination in the body, namely the colon, kidneys, lungs, and skin. After these exit channels are cleansed, one can proceed to a deeper detoxification. So, especially for beginners new to the detoxification process, and who are in need of either the Regular Cleansing Program or the Full-Body Detox program, cleansing is always the first method to follow before moving on to a deeper drainage and detoxification.
