Two Pillar Licences

In the spring of 2018, two pillar licences will be offered to preventative health practitioners via Standard Licensing Agreements.

Which programs will you license to practitioners?

The Regaining Series

The following is a tentative list of programs that will become available for two pillar licences:

  1. Regaining Lost Muscle Mass
  2. Regaining Lost Bone Mass
  3. Regaining Lost Heart Strength and Lung Capacity

The Maintaining Series

In addition, the following is a tentative set of programs that will become available for two pillar licences:

  1. Maintaining Beautiful Skin with Age
  2. Maintaining Healthy Joints with Age
  3. Maintaining Your Brain with Age

What is a Preventative Health Practitioner?

A preventative health practitioner is distinct from a conventional healthcare provider who functions in the care and management of a disease after it has set in. On the other hand, the newer preventative health practitioner works to prevent the onset of that same disease. This requires a completely different and varied set of skills.  

Train-the-Trainer Service Provided

Since the above programs are two-pillar in nature, they require the practitioner to be trainable in both the nutrition and exercise aspects of the programs. Initially, a Train-the-Trainer service will be provided by us to ramp up each practitioner or team, in his/her or their chosen program.

Prerequisites for Licensing

However, before licensing is issued, the practitioner or team of two needs to come in with the basic knowledge, the credentials, and some experience in both holistic nutrition and personal training. There are two ways to satisfy these prerequisites, namely:

  • One practitioner holds certifications in both disciplines at the practitioner level, or
  • Two practitioners work as a team, whereby one practitioner is certified in holistic nutrition at the practitioner level, preferably by the Edison Institute of Nutrition, while the other practitioner is certified in personal training, preferably by the American Council on Exercise.
